IPL 2024 key stats: Jasprit Bumrah is having the purple cap.
Delhi Capitals (DC) replaced Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) from the 5th spot on the IPL 2024 points table after winning the match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.
After Delhi's win, Rajasthan Royals became second team to make it to the playoffs. However, whether they finish the league phase as top two teams in the IPL 2024 will be revealed after the conclusion of their matches and SRH's games.
However, Delhi are all but out of the IPL 2024 playoffs race despite RCB having a chance to qualify for 14 points due to their inferior net runrate. Now the defeat against RCB will certainly haunt DC, who were without their captain Rishabh Pant in that match as he was serving one-match ban for maintaining slow over-rate in three matches.
Meanwhile, LSG are also somewhat out of the playoffs race due to inferior net runrate but with one game in hand they can also dream of making into the playoffs if Sunrisers Hyderabad lose their remaining two matches with a big margin.

Delhi has 14 points in 14 games while Lucknow has 12 points in 13 games. Lucknow next match will be against Mumbai Indians.
