Delhi Capitals (DC) opener David Warner played a brilliant half-century on Sunday. He scored 52 runs in 35 balls against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the 13th match of IPL 2024. Warner hit 5 fours and 3 sixes. This is the 62nd fifty of his IPL career. Warner's half-century innings came to a surprising end. He was in good form but Mathisha Pathirana took an impossible catch. He caught the catch with one hand while flying in the air, the video of which is going viral.

Warner was the first player to be out for DC. He became the victim of Mustafizur Rahman in the 10th over. Mustafizur bowled the third ball of the over outside the off stump, on which Warner played a reverse scoop. However, Warner could not connect the bat properly. Pathirana was at short third and dived to the right. The ball stuck in Pathirana's hand and the CSK camp jumped with joy. Warner, along with Puthvi Shaw (43), gave a good start to DC. Both of them made a partnership of 93 runs for the first wicket.

Let us tell you that Australian cricketer Warner has scored his 110th fifty plus score in T20 cricket. He has equaled the world record of Chris Gayle. Gayle, popularly known as 'Universe Boss', holds the record for scoring the highest fifty plus score in T20 cricket. He played 110 fifty-plus innings in 463 T20 matches from 2005 to 2022. Virat Kohli is at third place in the list, who has accomplished this feat 101 times. Kohli has played two half-century innings in the current season of IPL. He is followed by Babar Azam (98) and Jos Buttler (86).
