Former India captain Krishnamachari Srikkanth has said that Virat Kohli is fully fit to play till the 2026 T20 World Cup. India will begin their World Cup campaign against Ireland on Wednesday, June 5 at the Nassau County Cricket Ground in New York. Srikkanth said on his YouTube show that Virat Kohli has not won the T20 World Cup title yet and the former captain will be desperate to win it. The former cricketer has praised Virat Kohli's fitness.

Krishnamachari Srikkanth said, “Is this the last chance for them (Kohli, Rohit) to win as a team, probably yes, keep in mind, T20 World Cup 2026 is in India. So everyone wants to play in India. As far as I believe, the kind of fitness Virat Kohli has, he can easily play till 2026. So 2026 could be Virat's last year. This is not the last chance for Virat Kohli. But he will be very eager because he has not won any T20 World Cup yet.''

He further said, “Rohit won in 2007. He wanted to win the ODI World Cup at any cost but missed it. He must be looking forward to the T20 World Cup now. He feels that as a captain, he should win the World Cup for India. As a captain, winning the World Cup is a big deal. That's why there is so much talk about MS Dhoni. He has won four major trophies. Rohit Sharma would want to win for the team and the country more than for himself, this is what I am trying to say.”
