Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) recently won the IPL 2024 trophy in a spectacular fashion. KKR defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by eight wickets in a one-sided final. KKR players did a flying kiss celebration after winning the title. The idea of celebrating like this to the whole team was given by KKR owner and superstar Shahrukh Khan. He not only got this celebration done by the players but also did it himself. KKR's young fast bowler Harshit Rana has revealed Shahrukh's 'secret plan'. 22-year-old Harshit performed brilliantly throughout the season. He took 19 wickets in 13 matches.
Let us tell you that Harshit gave a flying kiss to SRH batsman Mayank Agarwal after dismissing him in the league stage of the 17th season. He had to face a fine due to this act. At the same time, Harshit was about to celebrate by giving a flying kiss after sending Abhishek Porel to the pavilion in the match against Delhi Capitals but stopped. However, the fast bowler had to face a one-match ban after this match. He was also fined 100 percent of his match fee. But it is not clear what Harshit did during the match, due to which strict action was taken.
After becoming the IPL 2024 champion, Harshit told that the idea of flying kiss celebration was of Shahrukh Khan. Actually, Harshit was asked in a conversation with Express Sports whether the flying kiss celebration with Shahrukh was already decided? The fast bowler replied, “Yes, I was very sad when I had to face a ban of one match. Then Shahrukh sir came to me and said that we will celebrate IPL with a flying kiss. He promised me and made sure that we do this with the trophy.” KKR ended the title drought after 10 years and won the third trophy.
Harshit also talked about the players of Delhi. He is a resident of Delhi. He said that the aggression of players like Virat Kohli and Ishant Sharma is amazing and they have achieved a lot. The young pacer said, “Delhi boys play cricket with heart. Delhi's aggression made Virat Kohli great, Ishant Sharma played 100 Tests, Rishabh Pant did wonders in Gabba, Gautam Gambhir won 2 World Cup finals for India.” Gambhir is currently the mentor of KKR. KKR had earlier won the title in 2012 and 2014 under Gambhir's captaincy.
