Regarding Mahendra Singh Dhoni, it is being said that this season of IPL is the last for the captain of Chennai Super Kings i.e. CSK. He will not play in this tournament after IPL 2024, but Team India's former great spinner Anil Kumble believes something else. He has said that don't be surprised if he plays in the 2025 season of IPL also, because he wants to stay there. Dhoni is currently preparing for the upcoming season with the team.
Suresh Raina said about MS Dhoni in the Legends Lounge show on JioCinema, “The best thing about MS is that he comes to Chennai a month or three weeks before the IPL. He bats for about two to three hours in humid conditions. And I do gym training. There's a lot of bonding in the team during this time and I think that's something magical.” Taking this point forward, Anil Kumble compared MS Dhoni with the great batsman Sachin Tendulkar.
Kumble said, “I never played with MS in the IPL. When I played with him in the Indian team, he was the first one to lift me. I think he was the strongest in lifting heavyweights. It was a great moment for me. I remember, when I was the coach and he was the captain, we were in Ranchi for an optional practice session for a one-day game, he didn't need to come because Ranchi is his hometown, but he was there for the session.”
