Delhi Capitals assistant coach Praveen Amre has said that Rishabh Pant was seen batting in his old style during the first training session of the team. Delhi Capitals held their first training session at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday. It took almost 14 months for Rishabh Pant to become fully fit after the horrific car accident in 2022. However, now he is completely fit and ready to play in the IPL.

Delhi Capitals assistant coach Praveen Amre said, “As a coaching unit and individually, it has been great to watch him bat. Looking at him it did not seem that he was batting after a long time. The bat swing was the same as old. We have to give him credit for the way he worked hard throughout the year. “It shows how strong and hungry he is.”

Delhi Capitals will play its first two home matches in Visakhapatnam. Speaking about the new home ground, Amre said, “Vizag has always been a high-scoring ground and that's what we wanted. It has real bounce and we are looking forward to seeing what it can offer.”

Pant will return to the cricket field through IPL on March 23 in which he will captain Delhi Capitals against Punjab Kings in Mohali. Pant told BCCI TV, “I am feeling close to normal.”

Famous orthopedic surgeon Dinesh Pardiwala, who treated Pant, was not convinced but Pant brushed aside all concerns and said that he would work miracles. Recalling his conversation with Pant, who is returning to the cricket field after 14 months, Pardiwala said in a show, “It would be a miracle for you to return to competitive cricket. After dislocating the knee so badly, in conditions like this. On this he had said, “I am a 'Miracle Man' (miracle performer). I did it twice and will do it the third time too.”
