Just before IPL 2024, Delhi Capitals has received good news about its captain and wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant. BCCI has declared Rishabh Pant fit. Rishabh Pant has also now reached the camp of Delhi Capitals. He has started batting practice and from the very first day he was seen dealing in fours and sixes. Some of his photos and videos are currently going viral on social media, in which he is seen attacking the bowler and throw down specialist of Delhi Capitals.
It has taken almost 14 months for Rishabh Pant to return to the field, as he had an accident on 30 December 2022. His car was speeding and he was hit by an accident at around 4 in the morning in Roorkee, Uttarakhand. He suffered serious knee injury in this accident. However, after long treatment and rehab, he is ready to return to the field. Pant was seen in the camp of Delhi Capitals earlier also, but now he is fully engaged in the preparations for the IPL and seems to be in the same mood as before.
Talking about Pant, he will be the captain of the team in this season of IPL and will also be seen handling the responsibility of wicketkeeper. Rishabh Pant has been the captain of the team for two seasons. In 2021, he took over the captaincy due to injury to Shreyas Iyer. At the same time, in the next season, when Shreyas Iyer went to Kolkata Knight Riders, Pant was appointed the captain of Delhi, but before the 2023 season, he was injured in a car accident. Now once again he will be with the team and will try to lead the team to victory while captaining it.
