Australia opener David Warner has been ruled out of the last T20I against New Zealand in Auckland due to injury but he is expected to be fit for the start of the IPL next month. It will take some time for him to recover, so he decided to withdraw from the New Zealand tour.

However, his injury is not very serious and will not affect his plans to participate in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Warner is part of Delhi Capitals in the IPL and last season he captained the team in the absence of Rishabh Pant.
“Warner will require a brief recovery period, which is not expected to impact his availability for the upcoming Indian Premier League ahead of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup,” Cricket Australia said in a statement.
