The last few weeks have been no less than a dream for Indian wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel. During the Test series against England, he played an important role in helping the Indian team win. Dhruv Jurel has completely rejected his comparison with MS Dhoni. Dhruv Jurel was compared to Dhoni during the Test match played between India and England in Ranchi. Jurel had played a brilliant inning of 90 runs, due to which the team was successful in winning the match. Sunil Gavaskar, while commenting on air, praised the young batsman and compared him with Dhoni.
Sunil Gavaskar said, “Looking at Dhruv Jurel's wisdom, I feel he is the next MS Dhoni.” When Jurel was asked about the comparison at the India Today Conclave, he first thanked Gavaskar. He said that it is difficult to repeat what Dhoni has done during his career.
Wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel said, “Thank you Gavaskar sir for comparing me with Dhoni sir. But I personally want to say that no one can repeat what Dhoni sir has done. There was and will always be only one Dhoni. For me I just want to be Dhruv Jurel. Whatever I do, I want to do it as Dhruv Jurrell. Dhoni sir is a legend and he will always remain so.”
Dhruv Jurel also revealed that his WhatsApp display picture is also of Dhoni. Juran, who made his Test debut against England, impressed everyone with his performance. In his debut match in Rajkot Test, he scored 46 runs in the first innings. After this innings of 90 and 39 runs were played. Jurel scored 190 runs in 4 innings at an average of 63.33. Dhruv Jurel will represent Rajasthan Royals in the IPL.
