After which he was on bed rest for a long time and after that due to his leg injury, he was walking with the help of crutches for a long time. However, now he is completely fit and will return as the captain of Delhi Capitals in IPL 2024. Pant has joined the camp of Delhi Capitals. He said that he is a little nervous and feels that he is going to debut again.
Rishabh Pant joined the Delhi Capitals IPL 2024 pre-season camp on March 13. This wicketkeeper batsman will lead Delhi Capitals in the IPL, whose first match will be against Punjab Kings in Mohali on March 23. Pant said, “I am excited and nervous. Looks like I'm going to debut again.
Pant said in a Delhi Capitals release, “Given what I have gone through, it is not a miracle to be able to play cricket again. I express my gratitude to our well-wishers and fans and especially to the staff of BCCI and National Cricket Academy. Their love and support continues to keep me strong.”
On joining Delhi Capitals' pre-season practice camp, Pant said, “I am excited to return to Delhi Capitals and the IPL. This is a tournament that I thoroughly enjoy playing. Our team owners and support staff supported me completely from the beginning, for which I am wholeheartedly grateful to them.'' Star wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant has played 33 Tests, 30 ODIs and 66 T20 International matches for India.
